Drive to Singapore in 1 day!

My work colleagues and I drove to Singapore (approx. 5 hours each way) to have lunch on the Columbus holiday weekend. A second three day weekend has arrived in Malaysia to celebrate the Indian holiday known as Deepavali... Unfortunately, today (Saturday) is raining. :(

Rainforest burning affects Kuala Lumpur

The burning of Indonesian rainforests unfortunately impacts the air quality of Kuala Lumpur. Most people with kids leave during this time of year to reduce the respitory distress caused by this annual event.

Cambodia

I had a chance to travel briefly to Phnom Penh Cambodia, a poor country with a sad past. In any event I ate my first ever grilled Crocodile, it was quite chewy and not that great! :P

Anyway here is something I refused to eat, and forget about the Tarantula's....

Chinese New year

Year of the Ox 2009. Malaysia is a mix of Chinese, Indian, and of course Malay. Malaysia celebrates holidays from all three cultures. Chinese New Year is set to be full of busy family reunions, or so I have been told. Many shops in China town are selling all of the festive items to celebrate Chinese New Years.
